⚠️ WARNING: Our Experience with Novus Companies
This page exists to share our firsthand experience with Novus Companies, a cautionary story about misleading communication, broken promises, and an unwillingness to resolve problems. We believe it’s our responsibility to raise awareness and help others avoid the same mistakes.
💥 What Went Wrong
Before diving into the full story, here’s a quick summary of the key problems we encountered when working with Novus Companies:
Misleading communication: We were told one thing upfront, only to be given different information later.
Bait and switch: Promises made during the sales process disappeared once contracts were signed.
Broken commitments: Deadlines, deliverables, and expectations were not met.
Changed agreements: Terms were shifted after money was exchanged.
Unreasonable behavior: Logical discussions were met with deflection or hostility.
Lack of problem-solving: Issues we raised were dismissed or ignored.
Constant goalpost-moving: The expectations kept changing, every time we reached one milestone, a new one was added.
These issues weren’t isolated. They formed a clear pattern that left us frustrated, financially strained, and ultimately misled.
📖 Our Experience with Novus Companies
We began working with Novus Companies in good faith. Their pitch was confident, their promises were ambitious, and their tone was professional, at least at first. We were assured that timelines would be met, deliverables would match our expectations, and that we’d receive consistent support.
However, shortly after the project began, things took a turn.
Suddenly, features that were supposedly “included” became “not part of the agreement.” Timelines slipped without explanation. Communication became sporadic and defensive. When we pushed for clarity, we were met with vague replies, contradictory statements, and an alarming lack of transparency.
It became clear we were not dealing with a reliable or ethical company. The more we tried to resolve things, the more they pushed back, often blaming us, delaying action, or demanding additional payments to continue work that was already agreed upon.
This wasn’t just a misunderstanding. It was a systemic failure to follow through, and a refusal to make things right.

🚩 The Red Flags You Should Know
🔸 Misleading Communication
From day one, we received polished, professional-sounding promises. But once the contract was signed, that tone quickly shifted. Information was suddenly vague or different than what had been discussed. We were made to feel like we misunderstood, but we had documentation. It didn’t add up.
🔸 Bait and Switch
We were sold on specific features and deliverables, only to be told later that those items were not included in our package. In reality, the pitch and the product didn’t match. It felt like classic bait and switch tactics, and we were left holding the bill.
🔸 Changing the Deal Midway
After committing time and money, Novus Companies began changing the terms. They redefined what was “included,” asked for more money for pre-agreed work, and expected us to simply accept the new rules. This wasn’t negotiation, it was manipulation.
🔸 Unreasonable Behavior
We came with calm, logical questions and proposals. But those were met with unreasonable responses, often ignoring basic logic or fairness. Instead of partnership, we were met with resistance and condescension.
🔸 No Logic in Responses
At times, explanations made absolutely no sense. We were told things that contradicted earlier emails or even basic business principles. When we pointed this out, the conversation would change or be cut short entirely.
🔸 Not Wanting to Solve Problems
What was most frustrating was their refusal to fix what went wrong. Even when we provided clear, reasonable documentation of errors or broken promises, they were either ignored or dismissed. There was no accountability.
🔸 Moving the Goalpost
We would meet a demand or finish a task, only to be told it wasn’t enough. A new step would suddenly be added. A new requirement would “appear.” It became clear they were not trying to complete the project, they were trying to exhaust us.
💡 Why We Created This Page
We are not litigious. We’re not the type to go online and bash a company. But in this case, we feel a responsibility to speak up.
Novus Companies presented themselves as a professional, reputable firm. What we experienced was something completely different. And if no one speaks up, this same cycle may continue for others.
This page exists to:

Encourage more transparency in the business world
We want to be very clear, everything shared here is based on documented, firsthand experience. This isn’t hearsay. It’s not exaggeration. It’s our truth, and we have the receipts.
